Look, I love your projections and so far you make a whole lot of sense. I am still not mining myself but I did invest in an enormous amount of LTC two years ago. I know my question sounds silly since it's almost impossible to answer, but it's one that investors like myself will be asking (especially institutional investors with tons of cash on the sidelines as world markets tank this year):

Given the present Bitcoin fiasco and failure, WHEN do things turn up for LTC price then? Do we really have to wait for adoption to be as large as BTC or can speculation do for us what it did for Bitcoin in 2012-2013? This is what the whales will want to know.

I understand that's your focus, but I'm not interested in speculating on LTC price. As you can see at http://forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2016/ ... cy-down-15, I'm just implementing BIP101/4 on litecoin, submitting a pull request, and then beginning a campaign to convince Charlie Lee to accept it. I don't own many LTC.

I will speculate on bitcoin price if you'd like - it's going to go down, probably below $200. The value of the bitcoin network will be split between the two forks before a consensus is achieved. There will be markets in both coins, and fear and panic will add to that. To make things worse, people are making this seem like a done deal, but the bitcoin classic code has not yet even been released.

If we think that the previous arguments were bad, wait until theymos and the Core developers start DDoS attacking the big mining pools and using the alert keys. We haven't seen anything yet. If I were a "whale," I would be all out.
