Re: Bad profit

Almost finished with second test and I think part of this this is hashrate issue. I finished the 24hr mining litecoins only on prohash yesterday and results are: Prohash paid 1.58 LTC and I was watching my hashrate close and it was hanging around 160-165Mhs I will be done with the 24 hour test on L...

Re: Not sure if this is a pool bug or what....

Hmmm - that might indicate that work restarts aren't being properly sent to your miner. I'll have Chris investigate the issue and get back to you soon.

Re: Resolved profitability issues

Chris changed the minimum network difficulty about two hours ago. Could someone report whether they see improved hashrate and stability? Yes I have for sure 8-) Great, then that fix was a simple configuration value. We simply changed the minimum network difficulty of coins we mine from .02 to .061.

Re: Bad profit

Are you sure that the change was caused by the static difficulty, or was it possibly caused by the optimization that Chris made a short while ago? Well, I just tried 16384 from my normal 8192 on Titan and my work restart delay went from usually .775sec-1sec to over 1second consistently. Its now at ...

Re: Resolved profitability issues

Chris is going to make a change to see if changing the minimum network difficulty of coins that we mine to that of a diff 4096 share (65536/4096) improves hashrate. He'll reply here within an hour to let you know that he made the change and then please track to see if there is an improvement. We do ...

Re: Resolved profitability issues

Great! I can already see a difference. Hopefully, others that have gone mining elsewhere will return soon. I really like what you two have put together, maintain and continue to improve at Prohashing. I spent a few days at another pool to maintain steady profitability while you worked the new bugs ...

Re: Resolved profitability issues

As an update to this one, Chris saw an immediate improvement and profit is expected to increase another 7% today. There were four forfeitures last night for a total of 0.13 bitcoins. This money will be distributed to other users through the 7% increased profits today.

Resolved profitability issues

After 100 hours of research, we have finally been able to determine why the pool's profitability had turned lower in recent times. Chris had been running queries for about a week attempting to correlate low profits with a number of factors. He focused on what had changed at the time profits had turn...
