Server restart this evening

There will be a brief server restart this evening to release the new worker history charts, a feature requested by tuscondirect and worked on yesterday. This should only take a few minutes, unless something goes wrong with the deployment, in which case we'll need a few more minutes for debugging.

Re: Dollar equivalent calculations off?

Thanks for pointing this out. We'll investigate this tonight. Most likely, the process that retrieves bitcoin prices crashed, and we should write some code to notify us when that happens.

Fortunately, there is no effect at all on mining revenue, just on charts until the problem is corrected.

Status as of Tuesday, August 18

Good afternoon! Here's today's status: I'd like to be the first to welcome Chris back from Montreal tomorrow morning. He's somewhere near Ithaca right now, about 3 hours from State College. If there are any people waiting on customer service issues for him, I sincerely apologize. He'll get caught up...

Re: E-mail Confirmation For Payout Address change

The E-Mail confirmation is a difficult issue that I hope tuscondirect will address. The problem is that we don't take E-Mails now because customers are often concerned about privacy. If we start associating E-Mails with accounts, that brings up privacy concerns. Do you believe the need for a feature...

Re: Minor Usability Suggestions

I thought about this solution this afternoon. Here's my suggestion for the earnings chart idea: There will be a dropdown that lists the names of all the coins you have ever asked to be paid in. After selecting from the dropdown, a line chart appears that lists your payouts in that coin for every day...

Re: Tucsondirect and others: final comments on worker graphs

This task is now complete and has been sent to Chris for final testing, but he won't do that until he returns from Montreal. You can expect this in two weeks.

Unfortunately, the API availability is not included; we'll need to look at that separately.

Tucsondirect and others: final comments on worker graphs

I wanted to get final comments before I implement the worker data improvements tuscondirect and two others have requested this weekend. After some research, I propose the following: Instead of being deleted as it is now, historical worker data will be stored every minute, resulting in a total of abo...

Re: the problem with payoff

I got home and investigated this problem. It turns out that there were two separate causes. The coins other than bitcoins got stuck because of a known bug that I fixed and deployed. Those coins are waiting for the blockchains to confirm the exchange withdrawals and will be paid within a few hours. T...

Re: the problem with payoff

I noticed this problem too - it looks like it's an exchange issue.

While I don't have access to it now, Chris will look into it at 9:00. We apologize for the delay.

Delayed support on weekdays until August 20

Chris is away on vacation in Montreal this week, and I wish him the best of luck on his hard-earned trip. Unfortunately, that means that nobody is available to cover customer service requests except for a few hours beginning at 9pm Eastern on weekdays. Therefore, if you request support on a weekday,...
