Re: Trying to understand cloud mining rental services
Steve, As you've informed me previously, if about 1% of the pool's hashrate comes from cloud rentals asking this in a poll will tell you what people that aren't using the services THINK as to why individuals utilize these services as opposed to why they are actually used. Forgive me, but this seems ...

Re: ETH and ETC still offline
Looks like ETC is currently in error as well based on the live coin statuses, so that would explain your error Soggydan.

Re: Ethereum mining temporarily disabled
If I am reading this correctly it sounds like you are looking at this just in relation to ethash, which I believe would make the most sense given the situation. I am mining on Scrypt mainly, so I was concerned that the ban might bleed over into other algorithms and thus affect me negatively. I, like...

Re: Ethereum mining temporarily disabled
Steve, Could you clarify that when you say you are looking at banning all cloud mining services from the pool are you saying across every algorithm or just on ethash due to this issue? if it is across all algorithms, at least on the surface, that seems to be a large overreaction to an issue that you...

Re: Is etc price correct?
Steve I think what OP was getting at was there was a hardfork in ETC that went live and it doesn't look like you guys are on the right chain. He's asking if the value that you're paying for mining ETC is correct.

Re: Qubit algorithm for connectivity with NH
Hello, Steve! Nothing changed :( OK, I was able to look into this issue and draw conclusions. It turns out that the cause of the problem is that the server can't contact the Nicehash API that returns the difficulties they require. I confirmed that the mining server does not have a bug by accessing ...

We didn't report them to FinCEN yet because we hadn't looked deeply into the exchange issue, so we probably would have discovered they don't offer exchange services to US customers when we did. Thanks for pointing that out - it's one less thing for us to do. I'm not sure that your assertion about t...

Re: Status as of Monday, August 26, 2019
On a side note in regards to the tax forms, Nicehash is operating illegally by operating servers in the US without sending those forms, so we reported them to the IRS. I expect that they'll either discontinue services to US customers or start issuing the forms soon. They also are operating an excha...

Re: A Guide to Common US Tax Situations
Tax avoidance is the legal means to not be liable for/minimization of taxes.
Tax evasion is the illegal method of not paying taxes owed.
I'm not sure if you should be discussing such issues here if you aren't able to use the terms correctly in the first place.

What you want is a degree in finance, so find the reading list/textbooks for a college that offers that.
