Re: Bliz firmware
What's the difference between regular Anminer's firmware and Bliz? Blizz firmware (which is no longer publicly available due to source code copyright issues) is a custom firmware that includes a dev fee for the developer of it who is now gone MIA. The trade off for the dev fee is you get power cont...

Re: Policy change for chat usage
I understand the need for this change but to me this sounds like more moderation overhead unless you're making this change simply to state somewhere in policy that it's not allowed which in turn gives you "freedom" to delete any message that is not compliant with the policy any time you ha...

Re: Should the "coin announcements" thread be limited to coins?
I wanted to get some feedback about the "coin announcements" forum. Should it be limited to new POW coins only, with a prohibition on posting ICOs and non-mineable coins? We obviously want to promote innovation in the altcoin space, and ICOs don't represent technical progress since most a...

Re: Z9 Equihash Asic announced
Well it looks like this story is still developing, a few equihash coins say they will fork to invalidate the Z9 but some others have taken the stance or at least appear to have taken the stance that they will not. As this is still fluid, I wonder how PH would support both potential versions of Equih...

Suggestion: Post Moderation for New Accounts
This may be an unpopular suggestion for those new forum accounts that are created for legitimate reasons but here goes: I've noticed that seemingly each night this board gets spammed with multiple posts from new accounts that are all advertising something. Suggestion: Place all newly created account...

Re: Z9 Equihash Asic announced
$30 a day for an algorithm that doesn't have ASICs on it yet is actually really pathetic. This should be in the hundreds to thousands of dollars per day without an ASIC. All this means is that ASICs will be able to flood the market exceptionally fast, so if bitmain is...well, bitmain, the first bat...
