Re: beginner proswitching + ports question

Generally miner programs only work on one algorithm at a time unless it's dual mining, but I don't know if they support dual mining here. Yes it matters which port you use, you want to select the port for the algorithm that is the most profitable for your GPU. If you can mine ethash with your gpu, i...

Re: RX580 settings on Gminer

I realize this post is over a month old but I thought I would share my settings for my RX580. I also tried gminer but I found I could get a few more MH/s using phoenixminer because it has -rxboost amd straps and kernel optimizations, I think teamredminer also has rxboost amd optimizations. You need ...

Re: gminer low memory connect fail

I think you need a GPU paired with at least 3 or 4 GB RAM, and l= should be set to 3 or 4 because all of the ethash-lowmemory coins available for mining here have DAG sizes over 2GB. If you set l=1 it says end of file because there are no coins to mine with DAG sizes that fit in 1 GB. I don't know i...

Re: Looking for new feature requests

lately i've been mining on zpool because i think the profitability is better on gpu algorithms like bcd or hex, and i like the low difficulty scrypt port. and there are more profitable cpu algorithms like argon2d-dyn. the only complaint there is i'm still going to be waiting at least a couple weeks ...

Re: Looking for new feature requests

have a quick way to decide which algorithm is most profitable for gpu, with a switch for nvidia or amd and comparisons between different mining software, but that would also need benchmarks (also a good idea if people can upload benchmark results somehow). I could probably figure it out on my own ju...

Re: Ethereum Payouts

Yes...one day instead of getting 1 coin, the pool messed up and sent you 2 coins. So now they are saying you owe that 1 extra coin back to them, hence the -.7 left to repay. So the question is....if a store gives you back too much change for a purchase...do you let the cashier know or hide it in yo...

Re: [CPU] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, brand new, super fast!

Can it do CNv8 coins? Since some have forked onto CNv8? the real JCEminer can handle v8 supposedly, after version 0.33b4, but i've never tried it myself. i think the legit one is on github at https://github.com/jceminer/cn_gpu_miner even though it's still not open source. this guy doesn't even say ...

Re: Cryptonight algo

xmr stak and cryptodredge seem to be working better together today, no more incorrect algo, yay! thanks for fixing it while i could only connect one miner at a time reliably i noticed could use more core overclock and less memory clock so +180 MHz and -501 MHz and just leave fans at 100% getting the...

Re: Cryptonight algo

I've started using xmr stak 2.5.2 on my cpus, and cryptodredge 0.9.5 cuda 9.1 on the gpus. i noticed if i just run one instance of cryptodredge and no xmr stak it goes longer without incorrect algorithm rejects, but if xmr stak and cryptodredge are running at the same time (even on seperate computer...

Re: Cryptonight algo

So far i've only used cryptodredge 0.9.5 on my gtx 960 2 gb. -a cnv8 -i 4 are the only two command line options i use, anything higher than intensity 4 seems to drop performance. The default intensity of 6 for cryptonightv8 mining with cryptodredge is too high for my system. I get about 365 h/s out ...
