Re: Status as of Thursday, October 9
Unfortunately, the Elacoin party seems to have ended. Looks like that order was pulled around 10:30AM and the market is slowly declining in value as we sell our remaining coins.

Re: Status as of Wednesday, October 8
I have a new support ticket sent to Cryptsy and I am going to see what happens within the next 12 hours. In the meantime, the Elacoin difficulty unexpectedly dropped from 4.8 to 1.8. I believe this is because the difficulty is based upon the time to find the last 2016 blocks, and there were days bet...

Re: Status as of Wednesday, October 8
What is funny to me about this whole situation is that Paul Vernon, the owner of Cryptsy, was the person to reply to one of my previous support tickets about the NDA request. Of all people I would assume he would know what was going on. But even after he told me whom to contact (nick@cryptsy.com), a...

Re: Status as of Wednesday, October 8
I do my best to spot these issues as they come up, but I also have been working to implement more robust automatic failsafes. We already have Coinwarz implemented to check block numbers, but they don't cover 100% of the coins we offer and they wouldn't have notified us of a network flaw like the Gho...

You make good points about merge mining. I think it's worth mentioning that Namecoin is so far the only merge mined coin to have any lasting success in the market, which I agree with you is because it provides a unique service. Dogecoin is preceded by many other merge mined coins (e.g. Pesetacoin) t...

Re: payout issues?
I ran the payout script and it worked properly, so the coins have been sent to your wallet. I am now going to investigate why it failed this morning.

Re: Status as of Monday, September 29
If you have a suggestion for something you would like me to buy that you can use for PR, I would be willing to pay for it. Looking at the conference schedule, I interpret that it is mostly focused around speakers as opposed to some of the other conferences that have large exhibition areas. My interp...

Re: Server went offline; investigating issue
Looks like the connection is back online. I can't find any issues with our equipment, but I have confirmed that the internet connection did go out. I am going to contact the ISP in the morning to see if I can get advanced warnings of their maintenance.

Server went offline; now back online
The server has gone offline. I am investigating the issue and attempting to resolve it. I believe that the ISP is performing some unscheduled maintenance, but I am trying to confirm this right now and will post an update as soon as I can.

Re: Status as of Friday, September 19
Thanks for making the Reddit post. I just upvoted it. The only reply at cryptocointalk was criticizing the pool for not prioritizing merge mining as one of his features. What he doesn't realize is that merge mining LTC+DOGE is only currently yielding $0.17/MH/s/day compared to $0.21/MH/s/day at this...
