Re: Status as of Sunday, July 29, 2018
Well Netgear is pretty horrible too, odd how such otherwise successful companies fail at something so basic. Shame, I really like the simplicity of coinbase too. Guess I will switch it over to kraken but basically things like this, (money disappearing especially), that gets regulation involved and m...

That's very interesting about coinbase. Last transfer was on 7/20 for Lightcoin and is automatic as well, went thru fine. Very frustrating the amount of "glitches" in this market.

Yep, Jeff is correct, this was not a fork and didn't effect the algo's. Zcash is agnostic about the whole miner thing - I don't think they give a rats ass about miners is the truth. How overwinter helps zcash is beyond me.

Re: Status as of Tuesday, June 26, 2018
I mine with both GPU and ASIC and I see both sides. I just mine zcash with my gpu so I am dedicated to it, (but beginning to rethink that). If the core issues were fixed none of this would matter. But with wallets taking forever to sync if at all - Monero/Ethereum, wild fluctuations that devalue the...

I concur. This is primarily a site for miners. Give them a sub thread if you want but frankly I see most of them as scams anyways.

Re: L3+ heat question
Yes I have all my miners set to shut off if they get to hot but I prefer not to push them that far. Maybe it doesn't hurt them but I just have to much invested in them since I bought them way before they came down to 700.00 each...

Re: L3+ heat question
Thanks for the help. Eventually that side of the garage will be a "clean room" and add cooling. But because of how the garage is located its not as critical as you might think - except for our short summer. Learned a bit about thermo dynamics along the way as well. Was surprised to learn i...

Re: L3+ heat question
Wow, that's 167F, it doesn't get near that hot here. I was thinking 26 Celsius - 80F was hot and taxing them.
