Re: Poor Connection

I'm going to create a task in our bug system to create a page with a listing of all these tips for bfgminer users. Thanks to your help, future users will probably find it a lot easier to set things up. Thanks again for figuring this one out!

Re: Poor Connection

Hi rayday, Could you try now and see if there is a problem connecting? If there is, could you turn on debug mode and copy what you see? In cgminer at least, I know that there are several debug modes that print out a lot of information. If you could turn on as much debug information as you can, that ...

Re: Poor Connection

Thanks for the report. I'll look into this. I noticed that something was odd about your miners earlier, but didn't know what - these logs will help a lot.

I'll get back to you as soon as I know more.

Re: Poor Connection

Is this happening right when you're starting up? If so, you'll get six of these stale blocks before you start mining useful work. It should only last 30s or less. The purpose of this is to test your miner so that it can be assigned the coins that are most profitable for it. If this is happening late...

Re: Status as of Wednesday, April 29

I've already thought about the user interface a lot, and some people have sent comments about it. The answer is that first, I want to get multiple merge mining working. We can merge mine at least six more coins simultaneously. Then, I want to finish testing the Comkort exchange. Increasing profitabi...

Status as of Wednesday, April 29

Here's today's status: Every night, I have been releasing minor fixes that seem to be increasing stability incrementally. Last night, the fixes resolved a memory leak and dealt with a problem that was causing miners to be overpaid in some cases. Tonight will be a performance improvement that should ...

Re: Status as of Sunday, April 26

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Titans, so I can't help with that. Updating firmware is risky. If you fail, then the entire miner will be bricked.

Is there some reason you can't do what kires did and change that one option?

More upcoming brief downtime

Sometime tonight, we will perform another brief downtime, but this one will last longer than the previous downtime. We need to expand the precision of columns in the price history tables so that we have more accurate accounting and can fix bugs. At the same time, we'll restart the router which has i...

Re: Status as of Sunday, April 26

Hi Chris,

Could you add this tip to the documentation, check in the changes, and release a new version of the website? That way, other bfgminer users will know how to fix this.

Thanks,

-Steve

Re: Status as of Sunday, April 26

I'll add this to the list of things to try to debug tonight or tomorrow. If it is a bfgminer issue, then it should be easy for us to reproduce with our own test miner. Hopefully it isn't a combination of your miner with bfgminer, which would be very difficult to resolve. bfgminer is an extremely poo...
