Re: Review of the July 3-4 meeting

Something else to consider with the lack of customers is that there are locations where you can offer up your rig to others in exchange for payment. I'm specifically talking about MiningRigRentals. Comparing the Equihash algorithms, while you are paying somewhere in the neighborhood of 850 sats/KS, ...

Re: Problem discovered with equihash earnings

Thanks for the fix Steve. I believe this is also impacting the profitability displayed by the pool for equihash.

Currently 0.00693691 BTC is being displayed as the profit, which if divided by 256 shows the true amount.

Re: Status as of Sunday, August 19, 2018

It was definitely a problem earlier, but appears to be working correctly now.

Re: Need help from S9 owner

Steve, here are a couple of examples of what I was talking about. "version_bits must be null because this session did not request a version-rolling.mask. Provided version_bits: 20000000" "version_bits must be null because this session did not request a version-rolling.mask. Provided version_bits: 20...

Re: Problem with share recording

Yes I didn't mean to imply that there was a problem with the shares being processed eventually, only that the processing was backing up because not all the recorders were running.

BTW it appears to be occurring again (EDIT: Looks like they've come back up as I posted this).

Re: Need help from S9 owner

It was a 2 followed by however many 0s would be appropriate in that message. If I see that message again, I'll update with the full rejection message as I moved the S9 off this pool since it wasn't getting any hashrate accepted.

Re: Need help from S9 owner

Actually I'd like to correct my previous statement. Some S9 are still having all of their hashrate rejected because of "version_bits must be null because this session did not request a version-rolling.mask". If it means anything it appears to always be a multiple of 10 shares which are being rejecte...

Re: Problem with share recording

And now as predicted issues have started. Only a couple of share recorders are running and share recording is backing up by minutes. No reason to have only a few running at a time.

Re: Problem with share recording

Oh ok. Sounds strange to me, but I suppose it saves on running a machine when it isn't needed? I'd likely opt to just run them all and spread the load as you mentioned, but at least explains why sometimes some don't appear in the list.

Re: Need help from S9 owner

Steve it appears that a lot of shares are now being rejected from S9's due to version_bits. This is going to cause the mining efficiency of S9's (and possibly other devices) to suffer on this pool.

EDIT: It appears this was a problem with a specific miner. Sorry for the confusion.
