Re: Why this bubble will be (slightly) different

An article about these new services. I think the point they miss (although they focus on the risk of an uninsured company) is the tax benefit that Steve points out in this post. If it is your intent to HODL, and you can tolerate the risk, this provide a wonderful tax benefit to the lender. https://w...

Re: Why this bubble will be (slightly) different

This post was very eye opening, and changed my thinking about taxes, and how to long term hodl. I agree that these services will become more common - Kraken Financial in Wyoming seems to be heading this way. After the price rises to meet this new demand, these vehicles (and the nature of the new mon...

Re: Question about Ledger Live app and devices

The app does not know what accounts you have, it must make them, by pulling the information from the ledger device. You will need to do this on each machine you work from, but once set up they will sync to the block chain just fine. You can "add account" for as many as you want even of the same coin.

LiteCoin Dusting Attack

Just noticed that LiteCoin had a dusting attack. Seems very wide spread. https://bitcoinist.com/litecoin-wallets-hit-by-large-scale-dusting-attack-so-what-is-it/ https://www.binance.vision/security/what-is-a-dusting-attack Easy to check, just look at your wallet, and see if you received a transfer o...

Re: A second look at Awesome August

I'll forward these onto Constance to resolve the color issues. Those will be fixed before the final release. On Firefox and Chrome, the hover-over text is white with a grey box around it. Reads well. On Safari, the hover-over text is white, and there is no box around it. Can't read it at all. Sugge...

Re: A second look at Awesome August

Constance has done a great job so far and your feedback is appreciated. Agree, nice job. Here is some feedback: On Charts -> Coins Mined Per Day -> The hover-over text is white which can't be read in some positions. Same with hover-over on hash rate and electricity usage. Original page had nice blo...

Re: The potential outcomes of Libra

Libra will certainly be interesting to follow, and will certainly have an impact on crypto and fiat currency. Frankly it does not worry me as much as the Amazon version that will likely be right behind it. Amazon has proven to be a better run company that really does provide services people need, an...

Re: Website Wishlist

A nice touch would be YEAR TO DATE statistics. Helpful for tax planning, and overall how the year is going.

Re: Curiosity/Motivation/Logic and why stablecoins are the future

Steve, A very interesting read, and similar to a theory I have - yet I use a different term than CML. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and how the nature of the "masses" might influence cryptocurrency adoption and how stable coins (and the mega-corporations) might change how the future works. In ...
