Re: Profitability comparison with Nicehash

A few questions: When has the system gone down? We're only aware of two instances since August 1 when there has been a mining server restart to release new features, and in both cases the downtime lasted less than two minutes. Given how "uptime" is a big votegetter in the latest poll, I want to fin...

Re: Miners are centralizing into huge farms

I think a problem is that smaller altcoins have taken a major hit compared to anchor coins for an algorthim (BTC/BCH for SHA256, LTC for Scrypt, Dash for X11, Zcash for Equihash, etc.). The altcoins are worth so little that it's often just as profitable to mine the cornerstone coin directly as it is...

Re: Nicehash allowing block withholding and 51% attacks through its services

Has there been evidence of suspected block withholding attacks on other algos/coins here? I know of some other PPS pools that have banned NiceHash due to the poor luck that it tends to bring.

Re: Coin changes - Additions and discontinuations

Can you look into happycoin? It will probably be the second biggest x11 coin for the pool.

Re: Relaxation of 1099 form requirements

This is good news. Do we need to submit documentation to show that we are using our account for business purposes? Also, are there other thresholds that would result in the issuance of different tax forms?

Futurocoin status

The Futurocoin wallet is currently down at Yobit, and I haven't heard back from their support. This is by far the most profitable x11 coin. I think the price will crash hard once deposits are opened up again, so the payments that prohashing is giving to current X11 miners might be greater than what ...

Re: Taxes for NiceHash users

I know that ProHashing sends 1099s to people who make over $600 a year. If you're using NiceHash, you'll likely reach that easily and probably end up with tens of thousands in revenue. However, the actual profit will be only a small fraction of this. Very often NiceHash miners will even lose money ...
