Re: A secret of mining: People won't take their money

Can you not add a "If coins are not claimed within 12 months, they are forfeit" clause to your TOS? I remember receiving an email from some place I mined right when BTC started WAY WAY back when. It was a non-dust amount, but still not more than say $20-$30 worth. I received that email aft...

Re: Another bank account bites the dust

I agree with pretty much everything you have said, except one thing. I personally find it hard to believe that all banks are doing this at the exact same time without any guidance. Whether that guidance is coming from a national body like the treasury or an International one like the BIS I have no c...

Re: New Asic Miner from Japan

These are 7nm chips vs Bitmain's 16nm. This is slightly over the *expected* gain from such a node shrinkage. Personally expecting Bitmain to release new miners in July, but we'll see what happens :)

I do look forward to the competition in the space though.

Re: S9i

They're still max 14TH. The L3++ are factory overclocked L3s though. I just think they're dumping, but still a good enough deal with a coupon. 12nm won't offer that much more performance over 16nm, so if you have access to sub $.08/kWh, I still think they're worth it. Definitely a risk at this point

Re: Status as of Thursday, May 10, 2018

Don't know why this popped into my head but....Curious if the low luck miners are actually owned by NiceHash. This would allow them to decrease the mining reward to normal miners as the total hashrate is higher, as well as skim the money from buyers. Even would allow NiceHash to keep making those pa...

Re: The ridiculous complexity of the Lightning Network

I still say if the IRS isn't going to list it as money, I would argue the banks have no excuse not to give a business account, in fact I might look into whether they are legally allowed to do that...maybe sue them. Crypto isn't cannabis, where the 1 level says its OK and the other level says it's n...

Re: The ridiculous complexity of the Lightning Network

Only the banks are calling it money. It is because of the regulations attached to something if it's called money. This is why Chase and US BANK call it a cash advance on a credit card. They think it's unfair crypto isn't regulated the same way, so they're fighting back. Fun fact: I've been trying to...

Re: SHA-256 mining issues

I love the update you give Steve and all the hard work Chris does as well. My S9s are currently staying attached because of this. Keep up the good work.
