Re: Prohashing to cover customer losses from Cryptopia hack

i once suggested you set up a lawyer or accountant in canada to act as a 'canadian branch ofice address' for prohashing.com so you could take advantage of our quadrigacx.ca exchange fiat capabilities. it seems now a doubly good idea so you can use Novaexchange. Nova has such a nice big variety of a...

Re: Relaxation of 1099 form requirements

This is good news. Do we need to submit documentation to show that we are using our account for business purposes? Also, are there other thresholds that would result in the issuance of different tax forms? No, it isn't necessary to submit documentation. Since the IRS does not mandate the mailing of...

Motherboard restart occurred again

Around 6:30am EST, the database server restarted again. Chris ordered replacement parts yesterday, but they won't arrive for two weeks and he doesn't know which component is causing the issue. Chris is working to get the website back online right now. It's possible this issue may recur over the next...

Quark mining suspended

Quark mining has been temporarily suspended due to the Cryptopia hack, because no Quark coins are traded at any other exchange that supports US customers.

We will re-enable Quark mining once coins are available to mine. We apologize for this issue.

Relaxation of 1099 form requirements

We're pleased to announce that the form 1099-MISC requirements will be relaxed for 2019. It turns out that we are not required to mail these forms to businesses, and many customers have entered business addresses. Constance will be adding a checkbox to the "Settings" page tonight that will...

Prohashing to cover customer losses from Cryptopia hack

Earlier today, exchange Cryptopia was hacked. The amount of money stolen from Cryptopia's customers was not disclosed, but we assume that there is either a total loss, or that it will be 2025 before the bankruptcy attorneys are able to distribute whatever small amount remains from liquidation. Crypt...

No, unfortunately not. But you can choose one or the other, and mine one of the coins, or you can configure half your miners with each coin.

Bitcoin mining re-enabled

Bitcoin mining has now been re-enabled. Last week, we had temporarily disabled bitcoin mining due to ridiculously poor luck. We ended up with a reserve of -10 bitcoins, which meant that we were getting to the point where we would have had to spend some of our dollars buying bitcoins to pay customers...
