I’ve been using PhoenixMiner. The hashrates have been about the same, but I prefer the information you get back from the Phoenixminer UI.

Those two are already asic mined, so you won’t earn much if at all.

Woops, forgot to add to that quote, I use phoenixminer. I’ve looked into gminer vs phoenixminer vs nsfminer vs excavator. I can confidently say I’ve read anecdotal reports suggesting all of them are better than the other. And the differences are so nominal it doesn’t even matter. For example with gminer and phoenixminer, you pay a "dev fee" every so often by mining a share for the developer. But nsfminer which has no fees, is reportedly worse than any of the other options in terms of hashrate... So I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

follow the gpu guide on prohashing for gminer. Command line issue could be antivirus or other windows issues like smart screen and real time protection

As long as greyscale keeps their stake it should hold up, I was surprised to find out it was their 3rd largest holding.

ETC will likely take the place of Eth for miners being a POW with smart contracts from what I understand. POS being less secure then POW should mean it would stick around.

I am not stopping mind you but I am way more skeptical about mining today than I was a week ago I think it is the beginning of the beginning of the end of it being something you can do without high end equipment (i.e. not a PC)
@ dhandler01 « Fri 4:49 pm »
Well it is not a get rich quick scheme but the market is super volatile and when the second biggest player (ETH) basically ticks off half of its hash rate with a half baked idea and with BTC basically fluctuating between 32 and 37k day to day things are very dangerous. Long term the only way crypto sticks around is if it finds a baseline and sticks to it. Crypto isnt the stock market such wild swings as we are seeing is way more problematic

Same here, for now. I’ll watch things, but I’m just mining while my computer is idling in between gaming sessions. I’m still expecting, like most markets, that Crypto will edge higher over time. I’m still thinking of it more as a long-term investment than a get-rich-quick scheme. But who really knows; the markets are fickle. :|

payouts are guaranateed to occur at some point in the 24 hours after they become eligible, so the lack of a payout at 12:35 is not out of the promised service window

Has anyone had any issues in the past 12 hours? I 260 MH/s ethhash and 20 MH/s etchash running overnight and I only wooke up to $0.80 this morning. It’s normally much more than that and my miner plots are showing that I had a consistent hash.

Problem is I am back to stock and it still is doing that. I just wasted 2 hours and got 270 errors while I was not at my comp. I mean I don’t make much doing this so it isn’t THAT big of a deal but ETH is becoming almost unprofitable and sadly everything else is worse. I am not going to buy an ASIC or antminer type deal I can’t afford the cost or the electrical costs. Maybe Awesome Miner is part of the problem as well but I don’t know how to do anything besides stuff like this. I am just not technologically savvy
@ Banished_Privateer « Thu 1:33 pm »
I don’t use gminer, I simply overclock (usually I don’t) after DAG file.
